From this place it is said that there is a ghost of an old abbess who appears on the night of San Juan. The legend of Count Don Julian tells that his is buried within the castle walls.

10. Castle of Villaviciosa de Odón

Finally, this is a palace-fortress located in the town of Odón, near Madrid. The first construction of the place took place in the 15th century. It is said that King Ferdinand VI of Spain went to live in this desolate castle after the death of his wife Barbara de Braganza, being in his last years of life in the place.

Consequently, it is said that before his death the king went mad in such a way that he refused to wash himself and hardly slept for fear of dying instantly. In any case, many employees say they have witnessed strange occurrences.
