Great tour of Sergovia

Everything was first class on this tour. Our driver Robert was very knowledgeable on all the history of Segovia and Spain in general. He was very flexible and took us to see some beautiful sights in the mountains on our way back to Madrid. Coral, our tour guide in Segovia was also an excellent knowledgeable guide. Fantastic trip with amazing sights. Eduardo was a great driver; picked us up on time in a very comfortable luxury vehicle and explained the day. He had a great personality and sense of humor and was able to give us background for every stop. He ensured we were comfortable and happy and even made sure we had cold water available all day. Ávila was a great stop. Our tour guide was so passionate about her city; it was fun to explore with her. Ávila is so beautiful and the weather so lovely. The city walls are outstanding. Eduardo made lunch reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant at the foot of the aqueduct in Segovia: spectacular place and food was fantastic. We also got to see the suckling pig celebration! Our tour guide in Segovia, Lola, took great care to keep us in the shade (the day was warm), and had deep knowledge of the city. She rapidly understood what we enjoyed and tailored the tour for us. We loved it! Eduardo again ensured we were comfortable traveling to Toledo. As we had spent extra time in Segovia, he made sure our guide was prepared in Toledo and we enjoyed a brief siesta in the car. Toledo was amazing; Luis was great; giving us a fast but informative (with passionate local color) tour of the city. Since it was our fault we were late, Luis went out of his way to ensure we still saw the best of Toledo, and we definitely, absolutely, want to return because of his introduction to the city to us.The return to Madrid was fast and easy; Eduardo was such a great conversationalist and companion for us. After an amazing day, we realized we left some personal belongings in the car. We messaged the tour provider, and they reached out to Eduardo. The fact that Eduardo went out of his way on his day off to return the items we left on his van speak volumes to his dedication and the kind of person he is. 1000 stars for Eduardo and this trip. If you are short on time and want to see the real beauty and history of Spain, we HIGHLY recommend this trip. If you have more time, we would suggest breaking this into 2 days; one for Ávila and Segovia; one for Toledo. We had a fantastic day, but could have used more time in every city. Spectacular!!

Highly recommended especially traveling with a small child

Our private tour to Avila, Segovia and Toledo was amazing. The driver was punctual for pick-up and drop-off from our hotel in central Madrid and gave us highlights during the drive. All the tour guides from each city were knowledgeable and passionate about each city's history. Though I wish we had more time in Toledo for a more extensive walking tour but it also give us another reason to return in the near future.

My husband and I were delighted... it was just what we were looking for, they took us from Madrid to Segovia in a very comfortable private car with our driver Roberto (excellent) and gave us a very private tour with our Coral Guide (excellent) who is a local in the city. Amazing tour of a special place

Robert picked us up in a Mercedes right on time. Robert’s English is excellent and we had a nice conversation about Spain on the hour and half trip to Segovia. Upon arrival Robert took us to a beautiful spot where we could take a memorable photo backed by an amazing view of the Alcazar. Next, we met our local guide, Teressa at the base of the famous aqueduct in Segovia. Teressa is a wonderful guide who lives in the Segovia area and speaks excellent English. She walked us through the town including the Cathedral showing us major points of interest ending with a visit to the amazing Alcazar. We felt very comfortable with her as our guide and she was excellent at helping us understand Spanish history and the role these buildings in it. We strongly recommend Teressa as a guide to Segovia. Robert made reservations at the most famous restaurant in Segovia, the Meson de Candido. We had a wonderful lunch in this famous old building overlooking the main plaza and aqueduct. Robert picked us up on time and gave us a comfortable ride back to our Madrid hotel arriving at 1640pm. I would strongly recommended Robert as a chauffeur and English guide.

Informative, delightful

We were happy with our driver Eduardo, and likewise our tour guide lady (I forget her name, maybe Alba?) Eduardo arrived on time and prepared the documentation needed for the police in Castilla y Leon. He also accommodated a quick pit stop on the way. Our lady guide in Salamanca, (she was blonde and fashionable), was full of delightful information and anecdotes of the city and the university. She also had good recommendations of where to eat and shop and where the toilets are. All in all, we were delighted.

Civitatis is not responsible for its failures

The guide was very friendly, but several of the comments could not be heard because the equipment failed and sometimes she had to speak softly because there were more people, and I didn't know how to hear her.When I complained, since the price was high, 34.50 euros, they did not pay any attention to me, a total disappointment, they told me that they were not obliged to have equipment that worked, that the group was small and we could hear it without the , and I guarantee you that it was not that small and there were many people in the escorial besides us, a total lack of professionalism, I will not do a tour with civitatis again paying in advance

You don’t want to miss Segovia!! If anything consider spending a couple of days. That said we had a wonderful time on this day trip!

Beautiful Historic Towns with Excellent Guides

Our private tour was characterized by a wonderful driver (Rouen) and two excellent tour guides (Carol and Louis; apologies if I don’t get names perfect). The weather in Segovia was very cold but we kept walking to stay warm. Both towns were worthy of visiting. Our only recommendation - do not have lunch at Meson de Candido. Lunch was not included but the operators thoughtfully made us reservations at this historic place. It is charming and the family was quite nice - perhaps enjoy a glass of wine there but eat elsewhere in Segovia. All in all, the tour team was top notch and accommodated us with great professionalism, knowledge and obvious pride in their towns.

Full Day Private Tour of Segovia and Toledo

The Tour Travel and More team had patience and flexibility in setting up this tour. Their team did a great job ensuring we were ready and prepared for the full day’s journey.Our driver, Rouen met us as we came down from the hotel earlier than our pick-up time. He was already ready, but willing for us to handle any last minute chores before we left. Throughout the day, Rouen continued to be professional, flexible, but respectful of the Tour Guides and any nuances they might offer to make our time in Segovia and Toledo any better. When we finally got back to the hotel, we were exhausted, but very happy that Rouen was our driver. He gave us a chance to take a break when we needed it, reminded us of the schedule when we needed that and even helped us to get group photos when we wanted them. Great job!In Segovia, Carol was our Tour Guide and she very knowledgeably showed us around Segovia. Through the narrow streets to the Jewish Quarter, the Aqueduct and the Alcazar, her information, poise and understanding made our time there just fly by. We did get a great roasted, suckling pig (and a show of it) at the restaurant she recommended too.In Toledo, Louis was our guide. Clearly, his knowledge, history and experiences in Toledo were top-notch. As best as he or anyone could have done, we attempted to navigate our tour around the crowds. His flexibility to adapt to those challenges were very much appreciated. However, we had a very hard time hearing him much of the time, so some of the information he was providing, we could not always hear.However, the bottom line is that I and my family and friends were very, very impressed with Tour Travel and More.
