The city of Malaca, as it was called in Roman Hispania, had large public buildings for the entertainment of the population. During the visit to the interpretation centre, we will learn about the history of these great infrastructures, among which the Roman theatre of Malaga stands out.

Next to the small interpretation centre, which will serve as an introduction to the life and customs of ancient Malaga, we will find the ruins of the theatre. By visiting its stands and the different parts that are still preserved, you will learn what Roman stage performances were like. Behind the theatre is the citadel of Malaga, where we will continue our visit. The fortress of Malaga, which also served as a palatial residence, retains a strong imprint of the Nasrid kingdom. Its famous courtyards and gardens are an example of this. We will appreciate the charm of the typical architecture of Al-Andalus.

We will also visit the battlements of the walls of the Alcazaba of Malaga. From here, we will enjoy excellent panoramic views of the city, including the nearby Gibralfaro Castle, another vestige of the Muslim era.
