Private tours in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura is the oldest of the Canary Islands and the flattest, which is why it has the longest beaches and the steadiest wind. It is twenty million years of erosion, a hundred and fifty kilometres of coast, and an interior of goats, volcanic cones and very few people. Tour Travel & More organises 100% private tours of Fuerteventura with a licensed official tour guide, a luxury vehicle with chauffeur and a travel coordinator available 24/7.

Corralejo and the northern dunes

The dune field north of Corralejo is a protected natural park of white sand running straight into turquoise water, with the island of Lobos sitting offshore — uninhabited, visitable by boat with a permit, and worth the effort. El Cotillo on the west side has quieter lagoons for swimming.

Betancuria and the Ajuy caves

Betancuria was the island's first capital, founded in 1404 and set inland precisely because pirates could not see it from the sea. Nearby, the cliffs at Ajuy expose the oldest rocks in the Canaries — ocean floor pushed up from before the islands existed — with caves cut into them at sea level.

The south: Jandía and Cofete

The Jandía peninsula ends in Cofete, a fourteen-kilometre beach backed by a mountain wall, reached by a dirt track and almost always empty. The currents make swimming unwise and the view makes the drive worthwhile. Sotavento, on the sheltered side, is where the wind and kite surfers go.

With Tour Travel & More, Fuerteventura is more than a beach with a hotel behind it. Tell us your dates and a travel expert will design your private tour with an official guide.
