Points of Interests and Landmarks

Early in the morning, we will pick you up at your place of choice and drive to the west coast of Luxor.

Our first stop will be Medinet Habu, home to the mortuary temple of Ramesses III, one of the most important religious monuments in the city. Its entrance, 63 metres wide and 22 metres high, depicts the pharaohs punishing prisoners.

The journey continues to the Valley of the Nobles, where there are more than 500 tombs of high officials of the Theban government. We will enter several of these tombs and learn about their decorations, which are better preserved than those of the royal tombs, less interesting for looters.

Our last stop is Dayr Medina, an Egyptian settlement founded by Thutmose I to house ancient Egyptian workers and craftsmen. Much archaeological evidence still exists, making it one of the most studied settlements of its time.

At the end of the tour, return to your hotel or place of choice in Luxor.
