Timanfaya, the fire mountains

The ground here is still hot enough a few metres down to set brushwood alight in seconds and to grill meat over a borehole, which the restaurant at the visitor centre does. The route through the lava fields is by coach on a protected road, and the colours change with the light all day.

Jameos del Agua and the volcanic tubes

A lava tunnel six kilometres long runs from the Corona volcano to the sea, and Manrique turned part of it into a concert hall, a pool and a lagoon where a species of blind albino crab lives that exists nowhere else. Cueva de los Verdes, in the same tube, was used to hide from pirates.

La Geria, Mirador del Río and the coast

In La Geria vines grow one to a pit dug in black ash, each behind its own stone wall against the wind — a landscape that exists nowhere else and produces good malvasía. In the north, the Mirador del Río is cut into a cliff 475 metres above the sea, and the Papagayo coves in the south are the island's best swimming.

Stop for lunch in the village of Haría. The guide we had, a crack, Carlos is his name. Perfect knowledge of your profession, the places visited and the island in general. Very loquacious, close and resolute. Very enriching experience and not to miss. Highly recommended.

Good cheap hotel near the beach. The hotel is ideal if you want to be close to the beach and restaurants on the promenade.It is very simply furnished. Comfortable seat is missing. Since it is an apartment hotel, many people want to cook some food themselves. But there is a lot missing regarding kitchen equipment such as saucepan (with lid missing) spatula is also missing. The cleaning is not OK although it is done by a very friendly lady. Pretty much every day.Internet is BAD !!! Works at best for 10 minutes.The reception staff is very "service minded".

A good time It's worth a visit! Several "environments" to visit. The museum is very fun! The augmented reality experience is super cool! The entry is 15€ and I found the Price quality ratio correct.

Brilliant guide made for an exceptional day seeing Lanzarote Our tour of Lanzarote went really well: a family group of 8 adults and one 3-year old. We were especially impressed with the guide, Anna (Suarez, I think?) – she was friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, happy to adjust her plans around what we wanted to do whilst making suggestions of her own, intervened at one or two locations to help us have the best experience, etc. Our expectations were quite high, and she exceeded them. She was a great choice, which helped make our day so special!

Good field trip. But joining the Greens cave and the Jameos makes something tired. The tour is very well, which also includes the Mirador del Rio and the Aloe Lanzarote. All that tires a little. I ended up with needles, which passed soon.

Fantastic day We would like to say thank you so much for the perfect tour guide and driver you provided for us on Sunday 23rd October. We had an amazing day. Our guide Stela was fantastic, so knowledgeable and really loves what she does. Our chauffeur, I’m so sorry I cannot remember his name, was professional and very careful driver. Our day was perfectly planned and we had a lovely lunch in a local restaurant. From the fire mountains to Jameos del aqua and the beautiful El Greco we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
