Private tours in Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is often described as a continent in miniature, and for once the cliché is defensible: pine forest, desert dunes, ravines and Atlantic capital city inside fifty kilometres. Las Palmas has the oldest colonial quarter in the Canaries, and Columbus stopped here on his way west. Tour Travel & More organises 100% private tours of Gran Canaria with a licensed official tour guide, a luxury vehicle with chauffeur and a travel coordinator available 24/7.

Las Palmas, capital of the Atlantic

Vegueta is the original town, with the cathedral, the Casa de Colón and streets of wooden balconies and inner courtyards. A short walk away, Las Canteras is an urban beach protected by a natural reef, which makes it calm enough to swim in almost every day of the year.

Roque Nublo and the island's heart

The centre of the island rises to eighteen hundred metres, and Roque Nublo is an eighty-metre monolith left standing when everything softer around it eroded away. Tejeda and Artenara sit below it, and on clear days Mount Teide floats on the horizon across the water.

Maspalomas and the south

The dunes of Maspalomas are a protected reserve of shifting sand between the sea and a palm oasis — not a desert remnant, as the story often goes, but sand carried in by Atlantic currents. Further west, Puerto de Mogán is built around canals and inevitably called the little Venice.
