Day Trip to Zadar from Split – Full-Day Private Tour | Points of Interest and Landmarks

Firstly, you will meet your private English driver in your place of choice in Split at your desired time. In case you arrive in a cruise ship, we can also arrange the pickup from the cruise port.

The journey from Split to Zadar is for approximately 2 hours and the same to return. Your private luxury air-conditioned vehicle will make your trip much more comfortable.

Once in Zadar, you will meet your private tour guide for a 2 hour walking tour of the most important places of the city. You will visit the Land Gate, which was once the main entrance to the city. Located by the Foša harbour, from there you can enjoy wonderful views of the water.

You will also visit the town walls and bastions and the church of Saint Donatus. The church is the most valuable monument of pre-Romanesque architecture of the early Middle Ages (9th century) in Croatia.

The Roman Forum is located only a few steps from the seafront. It was commissioned by the first Roman emperor, Augustus, and built between the 1st century B.C.E. and 3rd century C.E.

Finally, you will visit the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun, the most known attractions of Zadar. Both are works of the local architect Nikola Bašić. The sea organ is a sound art object and experimental musical instrument that creates lovely chimed tunes using only the rolling power of sea waves.
